"Give a Kid A Coat"
Donations of new and very gently used coats need to be brought to the Union County Christmas Bureau by December 3, 2009.  If the coats need to be cleaned please bring them no later than December 1st.  A special thank you to Parker Mills, of Mills Cleaners who provides the cleaning for the coats at no charge to the Christmas Bureau.  During 2008 we were able to distribute more than 1,300 coats to children and adults in Union County.

Annual Lake Park Lights Display 
(www.lakeparklights.com) ...will be lit the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Stop by Lake Park on Lake Charles Way too see the beautiful animated lights and also make a donation to the Union County Christmas Bureau.  2007 was the first year the light display collected for the charity and they were able to raise $1,600.  In 2008, the donations increased to $2,500 which also was given to the Christmas Bureau.  While viewing the lights, be sure to let the David Brown family know how much you appreciate their display and for their partnership with the Christmas Bureau.
