About Food and Nutrition Services:

Food and Nutrition Services help increase the nutritional levels of families and help to supplement the food purchasing power of low-income families. The amount of Food and Nutrition Services a family receives depends on: household size, monthly income, and allowable deductions. Employable Food and Nutrition Services recipients must participate in employment and training activities to help improve their chances for permanent independence from public assistance. Working households are required to report their income semi-annually to retain eligibility status.
