About Methamphetamine Laboratories

Many people do not realize that there are state regulations to follow if a meth lab is found on a homeowners property. If the lab is found in a building or a house, the property owner is required to notify the local health department.

The forms that are required to be filled out with the Health Department are outlined as follows:

  • Pre-Decontamination form for Methamphetamine Sites
  • Property Information
  • Floor plans of structure
  • How to address the issues
  • Decontamination procedures and dates

For further information about illegal methamphetamine laboratories and the process and procedures to decontaminate and re-occupy a residence which a meth lab has been found please go to the State website at www.dhhs.state.nc.us

If you have any questions about these forms, please feel free to contact us.
