Notary Public Information and Application


About Notary Public:

The Register of Deeds office administers Notary Public oaths for Union County notaries anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

To access Notary Public forms online or to learn about the requirements for Notary Publics, we have provided links to the NC Secretary of State’s website. Please feel free to print out and complete the form from one of the following links below. The completed form should be mailed to the NC Secretary of State Office, Notary Division, along with the application fee of $50.00 for processing. After you receive confirmation from the NC Secretary of State’s office, you are to be sworn in at the Register of Deeds office. Before coming in, please call our office to verify that we have received your Notary Public certificate. The Notary Public oath fee is $10.00 (money orders or cash).
